Hot Hive is a passion project for the Fuego team that started off as a micro batch product using honey from our family’s honey plant (started in 1925) and some extra Reapers we had lying around. When our friends and nearby restaurants couldn't get enough, we knew we had to make a bigger batch. To this day, each small batch is hand-bottled and taste-tested for flavor perfection.
Not only does our spicy honey contain delicious wildflower honey, it also includes organic apple cider vinegar (with the mother) and select organic Carolina Reapers grown and specifically picked-out for Hot Hive by the pepper master himself, Smokin’ Ed Currie. Despite using the world’s hottest pepper, the spice level lands at a medium heat (4 out of 10).
