He will educate you on the history of these three timeless classic cocktails; where each came from, and how or why they were created. We’ll also take a trip down Bourbon lane and explore the rich history of American Whiskey.
A fun hands-on interactive class, Ezra will guide you through the steps and techniques on how to properly balance, measure, stir and shake cocktails. He will demonstrate the importance of mixing and dilution in order to create a perfectly balanced cocktail!
Ezra will show you how easy and simple it is to make delicious cocktails at home.
During the class you will be guided step-by-step on how to make a proper Old Fashioned, a Manhattan and a Whiskey Sour.
Students will then take part in an open and interactive session where you will create your own variations or twists on these timeless classics - using fall seasonal flavors.

Ezra Pattek, a leader in the spirits and bar world, owns and runs A Little Old Fashioned, a cocktail consulting company. His career spans 20-plus years working in various cities throughout the U.S. - including Boston, New York, San Francisco, Miami, Maui, and now Los Angeles.
A talented and classically trained bartender, Ezra honed his expertise tending bar at the famed Harry Denton's Starlight Room in San Francisco, working under the guidance of global industry leader Tony Abou-Ganim. Ezra has developed multiple award-winning bar programs, cocktail menus and provided education to bars and bartenders throughout the country. Ezra was part of the opening team at The Broken Shaker in Miami - a Worlds Top 50 bar. He spent several years as part of the The Bon Vivant’s team - a San Francisco based nationally recognized cocktail and spirit consulting company. He currently oversees the cocktail program at Meat Market with locations in Miami, Tampa, Palm Beach and Puerto Rico.
Adding to his resume, Ezra is a graduate of the esteemed Pernod Ricard BarSmarts Bar 5-day certification program - an advanced mixology and spirits expertise program. He's been written up in various publications, including the NY Times, Esquire Magazine, Ocean Drive and has been featured in The Tasting Panel Magazine. He has competed nationally in cocktail competitions and to his credit has won National Competitions for Tequila Ocho, DonQ, St Germain and Woodford Reserve.
